AUDIT NEEDED TO PROVE INTEGRITY

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - OPINION OURS & YOURS -

The summation of the Turnbull government by Peta Credlin (“So glad you’re having such fun”, 5/11) cannot be dismissed lightly. PM Turnbull’s continued poor judgment is now, without dispute, transparent.

As pointed out by Ms Credlin, “Malcolm Turnbull has done his lawyerly best to make this issue (dual citizenship) seem complicated but it isn’t that hard.”

We teach our children not to be lazy and to follow the rules as instructed or there would be negative consequences for non-compliance.

Again, Ms Credlin sets out a sequence of very simple instructions which need to be followed to clearly verify a person’s citizenship before nominating for Parliament. Game, set and match! No amount of Turnbull’s waffle and spin will negate the need for a full audit to bring all parliamentarians to account for their personal responsibility to the Constitution on behalf of the Australian people.

C’mon, Prime Minister, show us the fun you are having while we wait for a glimpse of integrity emitting from those who call themselves leaders.
