Outdoors for Summer

The Sunday Times - - CONFIDENTIAL -

A FORMER haven for backpackers in Northbridge is being replaced with an “urban community-based garden bar” called Henry Summer.

Where once stood The Shed Tavern, Henry Summer will include an outdoor wine and cocktail garden, five bars and multiple rooms with decor inspired by Parisian apartments of the 1970s.

No stranger to the hospitality scene, new lease holder Clint Nolan owns popular Northbridge venues La Cholita, Pleased To Meet You, Sneaky Tony's, Joe’s Juice Joint and Alabama Song.

Nolan said Northbridge venues were missing a big outdoor area. “It will probably be the largest outdoor garden area in the city,” he said.

“Northbridge was also missing a venue of this size that has the flexibility that this one does.

“From a small group getting together for a catch-up and a bottle of wine to a large function for 900 people.”

Henry Summer opens next month.

New owner: Clint Nolan at Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club.
