Guild of­fice bear­ers elected

The Goul­burn Val­ley Tre­foil Guild held its an­nual gen­eral meet­ing last month and elected its of­fice bear­ers for 2017 with Les­ley Walker voted as pres­i­dent.

‘‘The guild is an out­let for guid­ing for adults and is open to all women aged 18 years or older who have made their guide or scout prom­ise any­where in the world,’’ mem­ber Phyll Bram­ley said.

‘‘It is also open to women who have not been pre­vi­ously in­volved, but are pre­pared to make a guide prom­ise: to give ser­vice to guid­ing, scout­ing and the com­mu­nity.’’

Other of­fice bear­ers elected in­cluded vi­cepres­i­dent Wilma Wisely, sec­re­tary Marj Earl and trea­surer Beth Bris­bane.

‘‘Long-ser­vice cer­tifi­cates were also awarded to June Field, Ta­nia McAuliffe and Jenny Heaps,’’ Ms Bram­ley said.

Ms Bram­ley said the guild meet­ings were on the sec­ond Thurs­day of each month and all new mem­bers would be warmly wel­comed.

‘‘On April 13 we will en­joy a de­li­cious af­ter­noon tea at Bel­stack Strawberry Farm at 1.30 pm,’’ she said.

‘‘And on An­zac Day the guild has been

in­vited to take part in the ser­vice at Tatura.’’

The team: New Tre­foil Guild com­mit­tee mem­bers for 2017 in­clude vice-pres­i­dent Wilma Wisely, pres­i­dent Les­ley Walker, trea­surer Beth Bris­bane and sec­re­tary Marj Earl.
