Guild office bearers elected
The Goulburn Valley Trefoil Guild held its annual general meeting last month and elected its office bearers for 2017 with Lesley Walker voted as president.
‘‘The guild is an outlet for guiding for adults and is open to all women aged 18 years or older who have made their guide or scout promise anywhere in the world,’’ member Phyll Bramley said.
‘‘It is also open to women who have not been previously involved, but are prepared to make a guide promise: to give service to guiding, scouting and the community.’’
Other office bearers elected included vicepresident Wilma Wisely, secretary Marj Earl and treasurer Beth Brisbane.
‘‘Long-service certificates were also awarded to June Field, Tania McAuliffe and Jenny Heaps,’’ Ms Bramley said.
Ms Bramley said the guild meetings were on the second Thursday of each month and all new members would be warmly welcomed.
‘‘On April 13 we will enjoy a delicious afternoon tea at Belstack Strawberry Farm at 1.30 pm,’’ she said.
‘‘And on Anzac Day the guild has been
invited to take part in the service at Tatura.’’
