Book to see sandcastles

It is time to contact Veronica and book your fun day out on the bus to Sand Sculpting Australia’s Lands of Imagination exhibition at Frankston then on to the Food Star for a wonderful smorgasbord lunch.

The trip will also include a stop off at the Epping Plaza on the way home for some retail therapy or just a cuppa.

The cost is only $50 for the day — and if you are lucky enough to have children in your care they may come for $25 each, too.

The bus will leave at 8 am on Saturday, April 8, so come and enjoy a unique day out.

Remember all the sculptures change each year; the theme is always a delight — even after attending many times.

This week we celebrated Bob Kolhman and Lorna Finn’s birthdays with a wonderful afternoon tea supplied by the pair — no-one needed any dinner after that celebration.

All those who attended the pokie trip on Monday enjoyed themselves.

We welcomed back members that have been away as well as new member Doug Clapp — another bowler to fill up the ranks and have a great time enjoying banter with the members.

Allan Richardson was exhausted after winning the pool comp and said he needed the recliner brought down to rest in.

Best wishes are sent to all our members who are unwell and to the broader community, too.
