Hill Top’s mid­week bowls held a suc­cess­ful tour­na­ment on Thurs­day with 22 teams com­pet­ing on a per­fect day. A big thanks to Mur­ray Stark for hav­ing the greens in top con­di­tion; the day went well.

The win­ners were Bar­bara Gar­vey, Deb Thomp­son and Suzie Perry from Rush­worth; and run­ners-up were Cath Dud­ley, Mar­garet Smyth and Bev Cahill from Shep­par­ton Park.

The Spi­der win­ners were Sue Ni­hill and Di Downie; Ditch to Ditch win­ners were Betty Durston and Mar­ion DeK­ligh; the Red Hot Go win­ner was Pauline Nay­lor and her team from Euroa.

One great iden­tity had a spe­cial birth­day dur­ing the week — happy birth­day to Vicki Reidy from Nagam­bie.

It was also great to see Pat An­der­son up and about again.

Thanks to spon­sors Tatura Phar­macy, Watches and Di­a­mond Jewellers, Bega Cheese and Unilever and to all the mem­bers who do­nated prizes for the raf­fle and to Val for be­ing the raf­fle seller.

Thanks to Pauline for her beau­ti­ful roses for the ta­bles and dec­o­ra­tions and caterer Mary for a de­light­ful meal.

Lyn and Louise did a great job on the score board and Jeanette Over­all was fan­tas­tic with um­pir­ing.

A spe­cial thanks to all the helpers and ladies play­ing who con­tributed to this spe­cial day.

The pre­sen­ta­tion night has been post­poned un­til Satur­day, April 22 — get your names in to the Links Bistro. The cost for the evening is $25/head.
