Hill Top midweek bowls:
Hill Top’s midweek bowls held a successful tournament on Thursday with 22 teams competing on a perfect day. A big thanks to Murray Stark for having the greens in top condition; the day went well.
The winners were Barbara Garvey, Deb Thompson and Suzie Perry from Rushworth; and runners-up were Cath Dudley, Margaret Smyth and Bev Cahill from Shepparton Park.
The Spider winners were Sue Nihill and Di Downie; Ditch to Ditch winners were Betty Durston and Marion DeKligh; the Red Hot Go winner was Pauline Naylor and her team from Euroa.
One great identity had a special birthday during the week — happy birthday to Vicki Reidy from Nagambie.
It was also great to see Pat Anderson up and about again.
Thanks to sponsors Tatura Pharmacy, Watches and Diamond Jewellers, Bega Cheese and Unilever and to all the members who donated prizes for the raffle and to Val for being the raffle seller.
Thanks to Pauline for her beautiful roses for the tables and decorations and caterer Mary for a delightful meal.
Lyn and Louise did a great job on the score board and Jeanette Overall was fantastic with umpiring.
A special thanks to all the helpers and ladies playing who contributed to this special day.
The presentation night has been postponed until Saturday, April 22 — get your names in to the Links Bistro. The cost for the evening is $25/head.
This follows the Old Bowls tournament; see board for entries.
