Successful season for our new recruit
Tatura Bowls Club new recruit Steve ‘‘Bandit’’ Baldwin has added extensively to his bowls trophy collection after relocating to the club last year.
Baldwin began his lawn bowling career about 20 years ago at North Bendigo and last season played at Mooroopna before moving to Tatura, starting the pennant season with the Tatura Bowls Club.
His past bowls final events featured only runner-up spots, but this year at Tatura he claimed the Tatura B-Grade championship, the 100-Up handicap championship and featured together with Paul Hussey in winning the Tatura Club Pairs event.
He and Hussey defeated two of Tatura’s top bowlers — Peter LeSueur and John Attwood.
Baldwin was also runner-up in the Men’s Club Championship final to winner Ken Cornell.
It has been a successful year for ‘‘Bandit’’.
