Black spot plea

The Tatura Guardian - - News -

Greater Shepparton City Council has called for community input to help to identify mobile black spot areas located within the municipality.

A spokesperson from the council said it would make an application on behalf of the region to the Federal Government’s mobile black spot program where limited funding for network improvements or additional mobile base stations may be available.

‘‘The Australian Government is improving mobile phone cov- erage in regional and remote Australia through the mobile black spot program,’’ they said.

Council has urged residents to submit specific details surrounding locations with poor mobile phone reception in the Greater Shepparton area and describe how the black spot affects them and their business.

Submissions can be via http:/ /greatersheppar council/consultation/mobile-blackspot and close on May 19. For more information, email Rohan Sali at Rohan.Sali@sheppar
