The Jan Dunlop 4BBB Stableford event sponsored by Tatura Pharmacy was played last Friday, on a sunny winter’s day.

The event attracted a large field of women from the Goulburn Valley, as well as a pair from Finley.

Many helpers contributed to the successful day, with soup provided by women members and served at two stations around the course by male members.

Following golf, a delicious lunch provided by Links Bistro was enjoyed by all golfers.

Fanning was pleased that Jan Dunlop was able to attend the lunch, enabling her to present her shield to the winning pair. Lyn also spoke of Jan’s illustrious career in golf, which included 23 consecutive championships at Hill Top.

Sue Turnbull and Robyn Downs from Hill Top Golf Club won the day with 45 points, and were presented with the Jan Dunlop Shield by Jan.

One point behind were last year’s winners from Kialla Golf Club, Marilla Macauley and Anne Probst with 44 points.

Trophies from Tatura Pharmacy, elaborately prepared by Tracy Lowry and GailWooton, were presented by Tracy and Gail to the happy winners, runners-up and nearest-the-pin winners. The small sample bags of goodies on the tables for each golfer provided by the pharmacy were appreciated by all.
