Hill Top’s stroke monthly medal event, spon­sored by Drum­mond Golf, was played in pleas­ant con­di­tions, with a few drops of rain to fin­ish the day.

Colleen Johns won A-grade with 94-21-73 nett. Run­ner-up was LizMulc­ahy with 76 nett on count­back from Deb Reilly.

Mandy McGrath, who rarely has time to play golf, was over­joyed to win B-grade and her very first monthly medal with 70 nett.

The B-grade run­ner-up was Sh­eryl Cur­ran with 75 nett.

Ball win­ners were Deb Reilly 76, Terri Wange­man 77, and Di Bal­lan­tyne and Karen Bal­lan­tyne both with 78 nett.

The scratch win­ner was Terri Wange­man.

Near­est-the-pins went to Deb Reilly on the sixth (Tatura Hot Bread), Colleen Johns on the ninth (Cafe´ Alofa), and Heather Long on the 14th (ONE4ONE Cafe´).

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Julie Gregg and Elaine Dunk on be­ing run­ners-up in the event, which was played in very cold and wet con­di­tions last Mon­day.

Bev Roberts also came home with a near­est-thepin tro­phy on the 18th.

Glad Rob­bins Fi­nal

The fi­nal was con­tested be­tween Di Day and Deb Reilly last Fri­day in pleas­ant con­di­tions.

Di was really on her game which Deb found hard to match.

Di dropped many putts, and as they say, putts win matches.

The game ended on the 15th hole, with Di claim­ing a 4-3 win.

Nine-hole com­pe­ti­tion

A good field en­tered with some play­ers re­turn­ing from hol­i­days.

Lois Rogers won the day with 39 nett, while Janet Leahy scored 43 nett to fin­ish run­ner-up.

Wed­nes­day’s event: 4BBB sta­ble­ford, spon­sored by Tatura Ho­tel, qual­i­fy­ing round Edna Star­ritt event.

Nine-hole event: sta­ble­ford, front nine.
