The Tatura Hotel sponsored Hill Top’s 4BBB stableford event, which saw the top eight pairs qualify for match play in the Edna Starrit event.
Colleen Johns and Di Day won the day with 46 points, followed closely by Sheryl Curran and Robyn Downs with 45 points.
The ball winners were Jan Coe and Sue Turnbull with 42, and Lyn Fanning and Bev Roberts, Pat Serra and Wilma Saunders, and Judy Baker and Liz Mulcahy with 41.
Nearest the pins went to Robyn Downs on the third (Gallery Cafe´), Elaine Dunk on the sixth (Tatura Hot Bread), Deb Reilly on the ninth (Alofa Cafe´), and Bev Roberts on the 14th (One4One Cafe´).

Nine-hole event: Janet Leahy, who recently returned from holidays, played well to win the event with 23 points. Roylyn Harris was runner-up with 17 points, while Lois Rogers won a ball with 16 points.
Junior golf lessons will be held on Sunday from 10.30 am to noon at a cost of $5 per child.

Ladies golf lessons will also be held on Sunday from 1 pm to 2 pm. They are open to members and non-members at a cost of $5 per person, with proceeds going to women’s golf development. The lessons will be conducted by experienced Hill Top women golfers.
One-hour golf lessons are offered to beginners or members who would like a few tips to improve their golf.
Golf is a great way to exercise and socialise. Golf clubs are provided, but bring your own if you have them.
