In­for­ma­tion sought

The Tatura RSL sub-branch is seek­ing in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing sol­diers from Tatura and dis­trict that went over­seas to fight in the First World War ahead of Re­mem­brance Day cel­e­bra­tions in Novem­ber.

Tatura RSL sub-branch com­mit­tee mem­ber Mal Watts said they in­tend to un­veil a plaque on Re­mem­brance Day for the World War I dig­gers.

‘‘We’re al­ready well on our way, but if any­one feels they had a re­la­tion who resided in Tatura and dis­trict while they served or came to the area af­ter serv­ing to set­tle in Tatura and dis­trict, we would like to hear from you,’’ Mr Watts said.
