Dads cel­e­brated

Sa­cred Heart Tatura cel­e­brated Fa­ther’s Day by fill­ing the bel­lies of fam­ily and friends at a special break­fast and Mass cel­e­bra­tion.

Sa­cred Heart Pri­mary School prin­ci­pal Matt Cameron said there was a sea of fa­thers dur­ing the morn­ing with the school pro­vid­ing a cooked break­fast.

‘‘Egg and ba­con muffins, sausages, juice and cof­fee were the or­ders of the day, with many fa­thers catch­ing up with each other prior to head­ing off to work and other places,’’ Mr Cameron said.

‘‘Over 12 dozen eggs were cooked by staff mem­bers on the bar­be­cue.’’

Mr Cameron said many fa­thers stayed at school for the morn­ing, tak­ing the op­por­tu­nity to visit class­rooms and cel­e­brate Mass.

‘‘The morn­ing was a true cel­e­bra­tion of all the won­der­ful peo­ple we have in our lives, es­pe­cially our fa­thers,’’ he said.
