Coaches proud of ef­forts

The Tatura Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion re­cently held its pre­sen­ta­tion night at the Bal­lan­tyne Cen­tre with 180 net­ballers and fam­ily in at­ten­dance.

Com­mit­tee mem­ber Jayne New­man said the evening con­sisted of hear­ing from the nine coaches of the teams who rep­re­sented Tatura Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion in Shep­par­ton Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion’s Satur­day com­pe­ti­tion.

Each coach said how proud they were of their teams’ ef­forts through­out the sea­son and high­lighted each player’s at­tributes.

‘‘The evening re­ally is about the play­ers and 10 girls re­ceived coaches awards and en­cour­age­ment awards,’’ Ms New­man said.

‘‘The evening also saw the Tatura Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion present life mem­ber Bev Roberts with a recog­ni­tion award for 15 years of ser­vice.

‘‘Bev held the po­si­tion of treasurer from 2001 through to 2015 — an amaz­ing ef­fort from a ded­i­cated Ta­turian.’’
