Two booked

Tatura po­lice booked two driv­ers on Fri­day, Septem­ber 22.

At 8.15 pm, po­lice in­ter­cepted a Tungamah man, 52, on Donaldson Rd, Tatura, who was driv­ing an un­reg­is­tered ve­hi­cle.

‘‘Fol­low­ing a pos­i­tive roadside breath test we drove the man back to the sta­tion for a sec­ondary test were he blew .143,’’ Tatura po­lice Lead­ing Se­nior Con­sta­ble Kevin In­gram said.

‘‘His car was im­pounded, li­cence sus­pended im­me­di­ately and he will be sum­monsed to the Shep­par­ton Mag­is­trates’ Court on Novem­ber 3.’’

Lead­ing Sen Const In­gram said about three hours later a learner driver, 20, from Shep­par­ton was found to be driv­ing with­out a li­censed driver in the pas­sen­ger seat.

‘‘She was given a penalty no­tice of more than $700 and also given an­other ticket for fail­ing to dis­play L-plates,’’ he said.

‘‘Po­lice are al­ways out and about, so don’t break the law.’’

Three counts of theft

A Tatura woman, 31, has been charged with three counts of theft af­ter be­ing in­ter­viewed in re­la­tion to three sep­a­rate in­ci­dents ear­lier this month.

Tatura po­lice Lead­ing Se­nior Con­sta­ble Kevin In­gram said the woman al­legedly stole from the same shop on Ho­gan St, Tatura, each time.

‘‘Two counts of theft on Septem­ber 17 and a third count on Septem­ber 20, small val­ues of $47, $16 and $8,’’ he said.

The woman has been bailed to face the Shep­par­ton Mag­is­trates’ Court on Oc­to­ber 30.

Crim­i­nal dam­age charge

A Tatura youth, 16, has been charged with crim­i­nal dam­age and throw­ing or dis­charg­ing a mis­sile fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent ear­lier this month.

It is al­leged the youth broke three win­dows and a glass door at Tatura bas­ket­ball cen­tre with a stone, caus­ing about $881 worth of dam­age.

The youth will ap­pear in a chil­dren’s court on Oc­to­ber 30.

Man sought

Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for pub­lic help to find Jamie Ste­wart.

Mr Ste­wart is de­scribed as Cau­casian, about 178 cm tall, of a medium build, with tat­toos on the left side of his neck, both fore­arms and right lower leg.

He is known to fre­quent the Shep­par­ton and Mooroopna ar­eas.
