The Tatura Aus­tralia Day com­mit­tee is en­cour­ag­ing lo­cals to nom­i­nate an in­spir­ing and de­serv­ing res­i­dent or com­mu­nity group for next year’s Aus­tralia Day awards cer­e­mony.

Cat­e­gories for the awards in­clude ci­ti­zen, young ci­ti­zen, se­nior ci­ti­zen and com­mu­nity event of the year.

Com­mu­nity mem­bers now have the chance to nom­i­nate wor­thy re­cip­i­ents in­clud­ing friends, fam­i­ly­mem­bers, stu­dents, groups and events.

Sports and aca­demic awards are given to nom­i­nees who have dis­played ex­cel­lence or are of high stan­dard in their field and are open to all ages.

Judges will be look­ing for in­di­vid­u­als who have con­trib­uted pos­i­tively to, or have in­spired the lo­cal com­mu­nity.
