O’Keeffe to inspire at breakfast
Women are invited to attend a social gathering at the Tatura Tennis Club rooms next week where Greater Shepparton City councillor Kim O’Keeffe will be guest speaker.
Event organiser Robyn Fennell said it was a chance for women to come together and socialise and hear from Cr O’Keeffe about her successful career.
Running her own business in the service and training industry for the past 28 years, Cr O’Keeffe’s talk is titled ‘ My Journey: Creating opportunities, volunteering and success’.
For the past 16 years, Cr O’Keeffe has volunteered for The Look Good Feel Better program for women with cancer, and has also been a volunteer for the Shine program and the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Ms Fennell said guests would get the chance to ask Cr O’Keeffe questions following the talk before 8.30 am, so they can still make it to work on time.
‘‘Other women who don’t need to get to work can hang around until about 9 am,’’ Ms Fennell said.
Sponsored by the Rodney Country Women’s Association branch, the breakfast costs $10 per person.
‘‘We will have tickets available at the door, but those who know they are coming can book ahead,’’ Ms Fennell said.
To book phone Robyn Fennell on 0427 241 724. The Women’s Breakfast will run from 7 amto 9 am on Wednesday, October 18, at the Tatura Tennis Clubrooms, Albert St, Tatura.
