Nom­i­na­tions are now open for Aus­tralia Day awards.

The cat­e­gories are: Aus­tralia Day Cit­i­zen of the Year - Tatura/Greater Shepparton; Aus­tralia Day Young Cit­i­zen of the Year -Tatura/Greater Shepparton; Aus­tralia Day Com­mu­nity Event of the Year - Tatura/ Greater Shepparton; Aus­tralia Day Se­nior Cit­i­zen of the Year - Tatura/Greater Shepparton; Aus­tralia Day Sports Award - Tatura/ Greater Shepparton; Aus­tralia Day Aca­demic Award - Tatura/Greater Shepparton.

Your nom­i­nee must have demon­strated ex­cel­lence in their field and in­spired oth­ers in their com­mu­nity.

Sports awards are are open to all sports peo­ple of any age and also those on com­mit­tees or in­volved in train­ing pro­grams.

Aca­demic awards are for achiev­ing high stan­dards in ed­u­ca­tion, self-im­prove­ment, ap­pren­tice­ships and oth­ers.

Com­mu­nity event will recog­nise a per­son or group who has or­gan­ised an event through a cul­tural, art, or sport­ing event that has raised funds for the com­mu­nity.

Nom­i­na­tions close on De­cem­ber 1.
