Rachel Far­rar and Amanda Ross, Mrs Gill met with all the par­ents over a cuppa and was able to an­swer any ques­tions they had.

‘‘The stu­dents had a great­morn­ing,’’ Mrs Gill said.

‘‘They all proudly wore their new T-shirts to let ev­ery­one know they’ll be big school chil­dren next year.’’

Plenty on of­fer

Come along and en­joy the many ac­tiv­i­ties at the Se­nior Cit­i­zens.

On Wed­nes­days mem­bers en­joy the mid­day meal, fol­lowed by bowls, cards or pool dur­ing the af­ter­noon from 1 pm.

On Thurs­days the club’s craft morn­ing runs from 10 am to noon.

En­joy bowls or cards on Satur­days be­tween 1 pm and 4 pm or Canasta on Tues­days.

Mem­bers play Crazy Whist from 1 pmto 3.30 pm on the first Mon­day of each month, and there is a twocourse bar­be­cue lunch from noon to 1.30 pm on the last Fri­day of each month at a cost of $8.

The group also at­tends a pok­ies trip on the last Mon­day of each month.

Novem­ber 2

The bowls team wel­comed Keven Ma­her and Lionel Blake.

Lionel had a very suc­cess­ful day. Hope­fully they will re­turn.

Happy birth­day to John Ham­mond.

Novem­ber 9

More than 20 mem­bers en­joyed a great two-course bar­be­cue put on by Veron­ica, Mary, Jan and their small band of helpers.

Also, we cel­e­brated John Ham­mond’s birth­day with a beau­ti­ful cheese­cake for af­ter­noon tea.

The next com­mit­tee meet­ing will be held on Fe­bru­ary 14, next year.

This month’s pok­ies trip is on Mon­day, Novem­ber 27, to Tocumwal, which will also be the se­niors’ Christ­mas party, so be sure to dress up for the oc­ca­sion.

The Crazy Whist win­ners were — 1st: Mary Smith; 2nd: Betty Curtis; booby prize: Marg Chance; and com­pe­ti­tion: Bob Kohlman.

The next game will be held on De­cem­ber 4 and the Christ­mas lun­cheon is on Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 13, — any­one want­ing a gift should get their $10 to Veron­ica as soon as pos­si­ble.

Gift do­na­tions for the raf­fle must also be made by the end of this month.

De­cem­ber 20 will be clean-up day, so all mem­bers are urged to turn up to help out.
