As I was leaving Selfridges the other day, heading in the direction of Bond Street, I was taken by a beautifully attired young girl, aged about six or seven, with braided hair and clutching a small blue purse.
She gazed up to her loving father and said, “You know, Daddy, I’d rather have a dress than a house.”
Totally a person after my own heart who, even at that tender age, encapsulates the idea that what you put on your body can help make life a little more enchanting.
This is the finale for The Closet and I wanted to thank you, dear reader, for being a part of this wonderful word journey from this stylist, whose vocabulary is the visual.
A huge thank you to Stephen Brook whose concept it was and has been by my side encouraging all the way.
So go forth and make astute purchases and fill your wardrobe with things that, although not always entirely essential, bring untold joy.
