Too much tech
Nikki Gemmell’s article struck a chord (“Oh, to be disconnected”, Aug 19-20). My early life was spent in the country without electricity or a landline. It is unbelievable how far technology has advanced. I have mastered, to a meagre extent, the computer and a tablet but if they lose connection, I feel lost. I still read real books, write real letters and buy newspapers. But technology, like it or not, has become a large part of my life.
