Intellectual drivel

The Weekend Australian - Magazine - - INBOX -

Phillip Adams’ column is generally spot-on. But when it comes to Donald Trump (“Vanishing act”, May 12-13), in 88 years I have never seen so much intellectual drivel. Is it that we expect the leader of a world power like the US to be reasonably intellectual? Adams, a formidable intellectual journalist, has fallen into this trap. No, Trump is not intellectual but by our observation is highly intelligent and clever. We, the intellectuals, must have the intelligence to accept that we were wrong.
