The Weekend Australian - Review - - Profile -

Biggest break: In theatre, taking over from Kate Nelligan on Tales from the Vienna Woods at the National Theatre. In film and television, working with Mike Leigh on Grown- Ups, an episode of the BBC’s Playhouse series, 16 years before we worked together on Secrets & Lies. Career highlight: Singing with Frankie Holden on the set of Clubland. Lowlight: My marriage ending. Guilty pleasure: Shoes. Most admired actors: Timothy Spall, David Bradley and some you’ve probably never heard of, such as Alison Fiske ( British theatre and TV actor). My favourite British actress is Helen McCrory ( Cherie Blair in The Queen).
