CAN the Wallabies build on the rugby platform they established against the All Blacks in Melbourne last week when they play a Springboks outfit in Sydney tonight? It’s an outfit that, on paper at least, appears to be a somewhat undermanned team South Africa coach Jake White has assembled. All will be revealed from 7pm on Fox Sports 2 and from 7.30pm on the Seven network in Sydney and Brisbane and on three- hour delay in all other markets. The big question will be asked of the Swans in the AFL tomorrow when the Freo Dockers hit the harbour city. It’s live on Seven in Sydney from 1pm and from 11am in the west. Melbourne and Adelaide readers will be able to catch the Navy Blues and the Demons from 3pm. But really, folks, all that pales into insignificance this weekend with the Tour de France starting tonight. There’s live coverage on SBS of the prologue from the heart of London from 11.50pm in all markets except Western Australia, where it starts at 11pm. Tomorrow’s coverage of stage one, which kicks in at the earlier time of 10.30pm for Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen’s call of the great race, will show riders heading off from London to Canterbury. In soccer, the Socceroos’ Asian Cup gets under way tomorrow night against minnows Oman; catch the action live on FS2 from 8pm.
