The Best in Aus­tralia, 7.30pm, LifeStyle Dar­ren, Anna and Ben­der keep the good spir­its fly­ing in their snappy, chatty cook­ing show. Tonight, the best veg­e­tar­ian din­ner and the best seafood bar­bie. Un­char­ac­ter­is­ti­cally, Ben­der delves into D. H. Lawrence ter­ri­tory. ‘‘ Grilled figs are just divine,’’ he en­thuses. It’s not ex­actly ‘‘ the proper way to eat a fig in so­ci­ety’’, but it’s pretty close. Parkin­son, 10.15pm, ABC First up, satirist, im­pres­sion­ist and Parkin­son reg­u­lar Rory Bremner, who can morph from Tony Blair into Dubya at the twitch of an eye­brow. He is joined by 48- year- old ten­nis brat John McEn­roe, the only adult to make a virtue of tantrums.
