The Bill, 8.35pm, ABC A mother’s love has no bounds when it comes to protecting her sons. Martha Hendricks does her best to cover for her son Otis when he is arrested following a robbery, until her younger son is implicated as well. Incredibly, when Martha is attacked, Otis is suspected. DCs Terry Perkins and Mickey Webb mount an undercover operation to see what’s really going on in this difficult family. A Year in the Art Life, 10.05pm, ABC An offbeat look at the highlights of art in 2007, written and presented by Andrew Frost and directed by Brendan Fletcher, creators of The Art Life series. Features the six artists who made it to the Venice Biennale, the rise of the million- dollar painting, the fake van Gogh that made the National Gallery of Victoria blush and that platinum skull valued at $ 100 million. Oh boy, that was so ’ 07. Samantha Brown: Passport to Latin America, 10.30pm, Discovery Travel & Living According to Brown, pictured, Uruguay is often overlooked, sitting as it does between its two huge and popular neighbours Argentina and Brazil. Cattle outnumber people in Uruguay three to one. But not in the capital Montevideo, where half of the country’s population lives. Meet all of them at the Sunday market. What is that gloop they are all drinking? Apparently the first one is the worst. Brown makes a fist of it and drinks it all up.
