ASX- listed en­ergy and re­sources pro­fes­sional ser­vices group Wor­leyPar­sons re­cently an­nounced a num­ber of new ini­tia­tives for which it needs a range of skilled and com­pe­tent pro­fes­sion­als.

Th­ese in­clude: wa­ter projects and ini­tia­tives; large en­vi­ron­men­tal group/ fo­cus; and drought­proof­ing south east Queens­land ini­tia­tives.

This year, the com­pany ac­quired North Syd­ney- based Pat­ter­son Brit­ton and Part­ners ( PBP) and Bris­bane- based John Wil­son and Part­ners ( JWP).

The two com­pa­nies are re­garded as two of the lead­ing con­sul­tants in the wa­ter and en­vi­ron­men­tal ser­vices mar­ket in Aus­tralia with spe­cific ca­pa­bil­i­ties in the coastal and marine, wa­ter re­sources and waste­water, en­vi­ron­men­tal, civil and struc­tural and power mar­kets.

The com­pany sees it­self as among a hand­ful of firms set­ting the in­dus­try bench­mark for em­ploy­ment in Aus­tralia.

Flex­i­bil­ity of em­ploy­ment is a ma­jor fo­cus, with staff of­fered a com­bi­na­tion of long term projects and ma­jor projects. Staff also have the op­tion of a 4.5 day week, de­pend­ing on project re­quire­ments.

Staff are also en­cour­aged to main­tain an ef­fec­tive work­ing en­vi­ron­ment at home and can buy MS Of­fice Home through the com­pany for just $ 37.

In the crit­i­cal area of project man­age­ment, grad­u­ates are granted full ac­cess to as­set ser­vices to help de­velop their skills in this area. The com­pany boasts a com­pre­hen­sive list of de­vel­op­ment pro­grams for grad­u­ates across all rel­e­vant dis­ci­plines.

Staff can opt to salary sac­ri­fice for in­creased su­per­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tions, an­nual leave, lap­top com­put­ers, leased ve­hi­cles or other pur­poses.

The com­pany has 84 of­fices in 32 coun­tries, pro­vid­ing enor­mous scope for Aus­tralian grad­u­ates and es­tab­lished pro­fes­sion­als to ob­tain valu­able over­seas ex­pe­ri­ence.

Re­flect­ing the com­pet­i­tive­ness of the global labour mar­ket, salaries and con­di­tions at Wor­ley Par­sons are bench­marked an­nu­ally.
