Building a Dream, 12.30pm, Seven This is the story of the greatest moment in a broadcaster’s life: the creation of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy. Interesting that it’s on Seven and not the great woman’s spiritual home here, Ten. But then the dream school wasn’t as dreamy for some of the girls as it was supposed to be, with revelations that children were abused there, to Winfrey’s understandable horror. Beauty Parlour, 8.35pm, SBS A title like that in today’s television market could fill one with dread. But this is far from the vile reality outing, perhaps with competitive colourist eliminations, you might expect. Instead it’s about how one woman, Lesley Regan, who runs the obstetric and gynaecology department at St Mary’s Hospital in London, takes on the cosmetics industry over its patently misleading claims. At 50, she’s determined to take her high scientific standards home to her bathroom cabinet, so that all cosmetic users may benefit.
