Luxury life comes with a slice of paradise
ACCORDING to the property developer, Juniper Group, beachfront living is the basis of its success. The group is one of Australia’s leading private property operations whose core business is based on conceptualising, developing, marketing and constructing international calibre projects in some of Australia’s most sought- after locations.
Since 1992, the company, under the leadership of father, Graeme Juniper and son, Shaun, has compiled a portfolio of more than $ 1 billion, featuring some of the country’s most desirable tourism resorts, residential properties and commercial developments dotted along the Queensland coast, from coveted Port Douglas in the north to the glitzy Gold Coast in the south.
It claims that its clients trust the Juniper instinct in site selection and are rewarded by a superior quality of life. The two Junipers believe that the beauty of the natural world can be matched by inspirational architecture to provide satisfying developments and importantly solid investment opportunities.
Several years ago, they acquired what they claim is one of Australia’s most prized pieces of beachfront land: the site where the 77- storey Soul Surfers Paradise is taking form.
Beachfront living is not just trend in Queensland - it’s a way of life,’’ said Shaun Juniper. Queensland has the perfect climate for coastal living and families have been queuing up to buy beachfront properties for generations and will continue to do so.
And they do not want to be set back from the beach, either. They want to live right on the beach and Soul Surfers paradise is going to allow hundreds of people to do exactly that.’’
The Juniper Group considers the $ 850 million Soul development to be the undisputed crown in its property portfolio. The residential and retail tower, home to almost 300 luxury apartments, now under construction in the heart of Surfers Paradise, overlooks one of Australias best known beaches. It is in a location that never can be built out.
Soul Surfers Paradise features a 114m beachfront frontage with a 56m frontage of the Cavill Mall. With its multi- million dollar retail plaza and esplanade, it is expected to provide impetus to the revitalisation of the tourist strip.
Our aim with the esplanade and retail plaza is to create a public space that features the best elements of various beachside precincts from around the world,’’ said Shaun Juniper.
The retail plaza will be incorporated into a rejuvenated beachfront esplanade, a people friendly precinct allowing an easy flow of cyclists, pedestrians and vehicles, while signature boutiques will reinvent the Surfers Paradise shopping experience.
When it comes to dining, residents and tourists will be able to choose between outdoor sidewalk cafes and coffee shops or two levels of ocean view dining guaranteed to set a new culinary standard on the Coast.
As an incentive to prospective buyers, the Juniper group is offering the chance to purchase an apartment now and settle in late 2010.
With global share markets struggling at the moment, this offer means that buyers can secure their future with a 10 per cent deposit and not have to pay anything further for three years,’’ Shaun Juniper said.
This allows them the luxury of having almost three years without having to pay any more money, while knowing that their chosen piece of beachfront property has been secured at today’s prices.’’
According to the younger Juniper, the Soul sales team has already made apartment sales of more than $ 425 million, despite construction only starting less than two months ago.
This success proves that our original vision for an outstanding beachfront tower, mixing the best elements of residential and retail living, is exactly what the modern top- end buyer wants,’’ he said.
As well as holding the Australian record prices for an apartment at $ 16.85 million, Soul continues to set new records for the property industry, adding to the amount of excitement that already surrounds the project.
