Grand Designs Abroad, 6.05pm, ABC1 This excellent and much- loved British program about house design pulls up stumps and heads overseas. In tonight’s debut, we’re in Malaga, Spain. Every year, 100,000 Brits buy property in Spain, host Kevin McCloud, pictured, tells us. Most of these people end up with developer- built homes, but if you want to build the house of your dreams and really make a statement, you’ve got to look elsewhere. Ah, Kevin, into your hands we commend our building plans. Battlestar Galactica, 9.30pm, TenHD One of the finest US dramas of recent years ( Time magazine says so too) doesn’t rate well enough to make it in this slot on Ten’s standard channel, but Medium does? That’s wrong. Although, come to think of it, we’re probably better off not being able to see Allison Dubois’s visions in high definition. American Dad, 10.50pm, Seven The world continues to be divided into those who love the cartoons of Seth McFarlane and those who are beyond mystified that anyone is amused by them. ( OK, there’s probably a third category of people who have never heard of McFarlane or Family Guy , but let’s not complicate things.) There’s no doubt that American Dad ’ s characters are not as well developed as those of Family Guy and it isn’t as funny as a result, but it is still quite chucklesome, such as in this episode where Stan discovers how many men Francine slept with before they were married.
