Anzac Day, from 9am, ABC1
ABC1 is commemorating Anzac Day with a welter of themed programming. Some general coverage will go out at different times in different states, and regular shows such as Collectors and Can We Help? will turn in war- themed episodes at their usual times. Live coverage of various Anzac Day marches can be seen from 9am in NSW, Victoria, the Northern Territory and the ACT; from 9.30am in South Australia and Western Australia; and from 10am in Tasmania and Queensland. The Gallipoli Dawn Service, hosted by Jennifer Byrne, will screen at noon in WA, at 12.30pm in Queensland, Tasmania and SA, and at 1pm in NSW, Victoria and the ACT. Finally, the Villers- Bretonneux Memorial Service can be seen at 1pm in WA; at 1.30pm in Queensland, Tasmania, SA and the NT; and at 2pm in NSW, Victoria and ACT. Check local guides.

Can We Help?, 6.30pm, ABC1
Now in his 90s, Ralph Churches recalls his escape from a prisoner of war camp in Yugoslavia. He was aided in his escape, which was two years in the planning, by local partisans. Heroically, Churches went back to the camp and, again with the help of locals, liberated 100 men, who spent the next two weeks evading their captors.
