The Golden Girls, 3pm, Seven

Is Seven serious? The Golden Girls ? Well, I suppose it’s a notch above On the Buses and George & Mildred , both of which the network exhumed and dusted off recently. This episode, from the first season of TGG ( 1985), concerns the desire of that Sicilian sweetheart Sophia ( Estelle Getty) to go home with a man she was once engaged to. Naturally, the girls decide to go bowling to solve the argument about whether she should leave them, with a winner- takes- all prize pool.

Star Trek: The Next Generation, 6.30pm, SciFi

I, Borg is one of the all- time great episodes, in which a singular Borg drone is rescued and revived by the well- meaning Dr Crusher.

I’m a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here! 9.30pm, Ten

If you’re getting a feeling of deja vu while reading this, do not adjust your brain. Yes, it has all been on before. This sixth season of I’ma Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here! first aired in Britain in 2006 and was shown here on pay- TV channel UKTV last December. For many, that will make the antics of the likes of Jason Donovan, pictured, David Gest ( ex- husband of Liza Minnelli); and journalist Lauren Booth ( half- sister of former British first lady Cherie Blair) seem very old hat indeed as they strive to survive in the wild and are tortured by some of Queensland’s creepiest beasties. Even if humiliated celebrities aren’t your cup of campfire coffee, there’s always the beauty of Queensland to revel in.
