The Little Green Grammar Book

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Books -

By Mark Tredinnick University of NSW Press, 272pp, $ 29.95 ACCORDING to the book’s publicist, the author ‘‘ makes grammar useful; he even makes it fun’’. I must have missed the merriment but I certainly can see the book’s benefits for anybody who has to write a speech or a story, legislation or a letter. The Little Green Grammar Book is a great deal harder to use than the dubious grammar checks in word processing programs, but it will help you understand why and how the language works.
