EWARE of im­i­ta­tions, re­makes, spinoffs, and things that are not as they seem. Mr and Mrs Smith ( Tues­day, 8.30pm, Nine) isn’t Mr and Mrs Bridge , Mr North , Mr Jones or Mr Brown ( yes, all real movie ti­tles). Nor is it Mr and Mrs Smith the Al­fred Hitch­cock com­edy, one of Hitch’s least typ­i­cal films, about a cou­ple who dis­cover that their mar­riage isn’t le­gal and have to go through their court­ing days again. It’s about a cou­ple played by Brad Pitt and An­gelina Jolie who dis­cover that they both work as un­der­cover as­sas­sins. And who do you sup­pose their next tar­gets are in­tended to be? All good, im­prob­a­ble, ram­pag­ing fun, with a spec­tac­u­lar car chase, though Hitch would have treated it more se­ri­ously. And what’s this Car­rie ( Fri­day, 11.45pm, Seven)? Not William Wyler’s soapie with Lau­rence Olivier and Jen­nifer Jones, or the Brian De Palma thriller with Sissy Spacek and its fa­mously scary end­ing. This looks like a tele­movie and, you’re right, I haven’t seen it. But Seven
