Thursday, 8.30pm, CI A particularly vibrant quarter of a square mile in London’s West End, Soho is home to the very rich and the very poor. According to this documentary series, every day about a half million people go there to work, shop and enjoy the nightlife. But just when you’re thinking this may be a terrific program profiling some of the characters who frequent the place — the offices of Paul McCartney’s MPL Communications are located there, for example — it turns into yet another emergency services doco about chasing ambulances. Tonight, in a raid of a penthouse flat, coppers find more than they bargained for. A man takes a tumble on the Tube and paramedics are physically attacked as they try to treat a person on drugs. Could be anywhere, really.
