Fri­day, 8.30pm, SBS One In tonight’s sec­ond episode (of three) in this doc­u­men­tary se­ries about the place some re­gard as the cen­tre of the uni­verse — Jerusalem — the city is al­ways chang­ing, says host Si­mon Se­bag Mon­te­fiore. ‘‘ That is its bless­ing and its curse.’’ For Jews, Jerusalem is the site of the Western Wall, the last rem­nant of the Sec­ond Tem­ple. For Chris­tians it is the place of the death and res­ur­rec­tion of Christ and for Mus­lims it’s the home of the AlAqsa mosque, the third holi­est sanc­tu­ary of Is­lam. Tonight Mon­te­fiore in­ves­ti­gates the influence of Is­lam on the city.
