Border Patrol

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television - Ian Cuthbertson

Sunday, 7.30pm, Seven As we all know, border protection is a big deal in Australia. But hang on a minute, this is about New Zealand’s borders. Well, they are important there too. Tune in for a riveting couple of days in the airports of the Land of the Long White Cloud. Tonight a known drug smuggler lands at Auckland airport, but can the customs dudes apprehend him? ‘‘ Look, there’s our target, coming off the air bridge,’’ yells a Customs officer with a goofy smile that reads: ‘‘ Hey, bro, I’m on TV!’’ Then, in Queenstown, the country’s adventure capital, more drama as yet another shady character enters the country. Yes, yes, I was there in October. It wasn’t me, OK?
