Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Wednesday, 7.30pm, Bio I struggle to overcome videos on YouTube in which Cesar Milan is bitten hard by the very creatures he claims to understand so well. Well, you know what they say, never work with animals or children. No matter how well you whisper to them, dogs are basically just dumb animals, driven by instinct and sometimes by neurotic insecurity. Still, Milan is in a seventh season of his show, so he must be doing something right. Tonight the dog whisperer takes on some seriously snappy bulldogs that are making their owners’ lives hell. Triathlete Bill Leitner considers himself a supremely confident individual. However, having put up with bulldog Hugo for years, he feels as if he is on the verge of post-traumatic stress syndrome. Hugo is a horror. Snarling at guests, lunging at kids and clamping his huge jaws down on Bill’s foot or on a neighbour’s derriere whenever he has a mind to, Hugo appears to be an intractable bully. Enter the dog whisperer with his eerie blend of Latin magic and dog psychology. Can he cure Hugo? I bet the answer surprises you.
