Coming Home

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Thursday, 9pm, Bio If you fancy an orgy of genealogy, why not tune in to Coming Home tonight, hot on the heels of last night’s Who Do You Think You Are?. The premise is strikingly similar. In both a blonde British television personality, in this case Sarah Greene, best known as the youngest presenter on Blue Peter and therefore the face of British children’s television in the 1980s and 90s, explores her roots. Just as Samantha Womack is on a mission to find details for her father, Greene, who lost her mother just a month before this program began, is also on an emotional rollercoaster. I must admit I find the poring over of musty records and the shock revelations about skeletons in the closet a little tedious, but at least in this version you get to explore Wales along with Greene.
