I PUT together a yoga magazine and have enjoyed many laughs over the weird ideas for doing yoga, but Deirdre Macken’s column about kayak yoga (Forum, January 26-27) had me in hysterics. I also had a great chuckle over Kudelka’s wine yoga cartoon. Yoga has indeed lost its way in the 21st century, with the advent of franchising. In its purest state, yoga is more than 5000 years old and has been handed down from the East to the West, where it has been churned out with scant understanding of the original yoga of Patanjali.
