The Simpsons

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Sunday, 6pm, Ten It has been a while since I popped in on Homer, Marge and the kids. I can’t say I laughed out loud very often, and I was a little disappointed that the episode, Hardly Kirking, had nothing whatsoever to do with Star Trek, but I give the series points for remaining interesting, relevant and stunningly imaginative. This is, after all, the 13th episode of the 24th year of The Simpsons. Sure, the show isn’t what it used to be at its best, but there are some great one-liners. There is also a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scene with a fembot that appears to have dropped in from creator Matt Groening’s other (recently cancelled) animated series, Futurama.
