Breaking Bad

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Sunday, 5.30pm to 11.30pm, FX Television can seem like a hall of mirrors but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If, for example, you have somehow managed to miss Breaking Bad, you can see all of season one from the very beginning on FX on Sunday. If marathons don’t turn you on, you can also see it weekly from Wednesday at 8.30pm. While those of us who have kept up with the program eagerly await the final eight episodes of the fifth season, due on Showcase in August, things begin all over again for newbies this week. Yep, there’s middle-aged chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) in his underpants, roughly piloting that damn campervan through the desert, making viewers wonder what the hell they have gotten themselves into. I really envy those who have the whole remarkable journey in front of them.
