Mon­day, 8.30pm, Ten There’s al­ways room for more good in­ves­tiga­tive TV re­port­ing but let’s not pre­tend there is any­thing par­tic­u­larly orig­i­nal or ground­break­ing about Ten’s Late News guy Hamish Mac­don­ald putting his body on the line and him­self into all of his sto­ries. Ten de­scribes the three-part se­ries as ‘‘ an ex­cit­ing col­li­sion of re­portage and ex­pe­ri­ence [as] Hamish ex­plores the worlds of war, pol­i­tics and pop cul­ture’’. I could eas­ily have done with­out vi­sion of his re­cent pedi­cure, though Mac­don­ald’s in­ter­views with for­mer US sniper Jesse John­son, who had been on more than 300 mis­sions and was try­ing to fit
