Sunday, 4.30pm, FX This is a truly creepy little action-adventure series comprised of just six half-hour episodes, originally released all at once, and showing back-to-back on FX on Sunday for a solid three hours. Central character Ian Mitchell (Milo Ventimiglia, Heroes, American Dreams) is a smartly attired small-time defence attorney struggling with shared custody of his daughter in the aftermath of a divorce from wife Laura, played enigmatically by local lass Nicky Whelan ( Neighbours). Seconds after he has handed the child back to her, the doorbell rings. There’s just a package on the stoop. Inside is a gun and instructions to kill a man who turns out to be a dentist. The police are no help at all, and you are left to wonder if they actually are the police. To his horror, Ian finds that someone else is also trying to kill him. Yes, he has been chosen for a wicked game, and we’re not talking the Chris Isaak song.
