Sun­day, 9.30pm, SoHo A sec­ond sea­son be­gins for this gor­geous to look at drama about a cor­rupt hote­lier in Mi­ami in the late 1950s. On its de­but last year I wrote that Magic City has more in com­mon with Casino than Mad Men but with the blis­ter­ing at­ten­tion to de­tail and ex­quis­ite pe­riod restora­tion found in the lat­ter. In case it has been too long, or if you haven’t yet caught up with Magic City, there is a re­mark­ably good catch-up mon­tage at the be­gin­ning of this de­but episode. When sea­son one ended, cen­tral char­ac­ter Ike Evans (Jef­frey Dean Mor­gan) had been ar­rested for mur­der. As things be­gin tonight he is trou­bled by a vivid and sym­bolic dream in his prison cell. As in Break­ing Bad, Ike’s de­scent into the un­der­world when he forged an ill-ad­vised ar­range­ment with de­spi­ca­ble mob boss Ben Di­a­mond (Danny Huston) to en­sure the sur­vival of his ho­tel has had hor­ri­ble and
