Dan Snow’s Norman Walks

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Sunday, 5.30pm, History At just 34, historian and TV presenter Dan Snow is already a veteran of countless historical investigations including Montezuma, about the the reign of the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II, and Hadrian, about the Roman emperor. In this debut episode of Norman Walks, Snow gets to grips with what happened during the time between when the Norman fleet appeared off Beachy Head — the highest chalk cliff in England, with commanding views over Eastbourne and the English Channel — and the battle of Hastings in 1066. It is a bit like a field trip with a fit university academic, but I suspect history buffs won’t mind the didacticism at all.
