The Simpsons

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Sunday, 6pm, Ten Who says The Simpsons has devolved into black comedy? In Whiskey Business, bar owner Moe is feeling low and unloved. His phone call to a help hotline is a scream. Manned by an automated voice recognition system it drives him towards the brink. But Bart — who prank calls to ask for ‘‘ a Mr Ron, first name Moe’’ — infuriates him, and he accidentally comes a cropper. Naturally the drinkers in the bar run to help. They provide CPR to the tune of How Deep is Your Love? and a revived Moe joins in. Feeling guilty as hell, Homer, Lenny, Carl and Marge take Moe to Capitol City to cheer him up. Watch out for a very cool minute of Gotye music at the fairground. Can that guy put a foot wrong these days?
