The Great Australian Bake Off

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Tuesday, 8pm, Nine Shane Jacobson is man who looks as if he knows his way around a biscuit. He is also a man who can turn his hand to almost anything, from fixing dunnies ( Kenny) to singing and dancing ( Guys & Dolls ) and being a sentimental divorced dad ( The Time of Our Lives ). Let’s not mention Top Gear Australia and get right back to those biscuits. So here we are in the beautiful grounds of Werribee Park Mansion, with two contestants down and eight remaining in this wacky little reality elimination show that aims to crown Australia’s best baker. First up, a signature Aussie assortment. ‘‘ We want your take on an Aussie classic,’’ says glamorous co-host Anna Gare. Now that really takes the biscuit.
