Saturday, 8.30pm, SBS One There was a time I could name every pop band and mouth their lyrics. In 1964 I queued for hours outside a Kings Cross hotel to get a square inch of the sheet Paul McCartney allegedly slept in, but now it’s all a big mystery. Recorded live in the Gershwin Room at legendary music venue the Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda, this wacky quiz game is in its 11th season. Original hosts Julia Zemiro and Brian Nankervis fire questions at two mystery guests and four punters selected from the audience. She then introduces performers such as Courtney Barnett and Dave Faulkner, in a format that has attracted a healthy following, particularly among 40 to 50-yearolds. They really do know the answers to questions such as: what three words are in brackets after the title of AC/DC’s song For Those About to Rock? At least I knew the answer to who sang the theme song from the James Bond movie Skyfall.
