Sunday, 8.30pm, Seven There are so many police dramas on the small screen that it’s almost overkill. Bones, around since 2005, has an appealing formula because it adds humour to the story-lines based on forensic anthropology. Each episode focuses on an FBI case file concerning the mystery behind human remains. Created by Hart Hanson, the series is based loosely on the life and writings of novelist and forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. The hero in her 18 novels, translated into 30 languages, is Temperance Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel in Bones. Tonight, bits and pieces of a teenage boy lead to the investigation of two close families.
