Satur­day, 8.30pm, TLC This colour­ful se­ries is as much a trav­el­ogue as it is a look at in­ter­na­tional culi­nary de­lights. Lucky Bour­dain gets to hoof it across the world in­ter­view­ing weird and won­der­ful char­ac­ters for this Emmy award-win­ning se­ries that’s in its sev­enth sea­son. And it’s all done with some­one else foot­ing the bill. Way to go. Ap­par­ently he has just given up chain smok­ing so per­haps he’ll be able to taste the food, but it doesn’t ex­plain his grumpy moods that for some rea­son res­onate with fans. Tonight he’s ar­rived on the Croa­t­ian coast, where chef Mate Jankovic in­tro­duces the New Yorker to the coun­try’s his­tory and some top food.
